The Rented Mule how did you get that name? Do you rent mules and quilts? I have heard these questions and many more about our name. Before I explain about the name let me introduce ourselves.


My name is Susan and my husband's name is George. We live on 12 acres in the country with lots of animals. George like all husbands has a long "honey-do" list. When he was working full time it was all he could do to keep up. About 2 years ago he retired. Now his list is just as long because he is always either piecing a new quilt top or quilting on the machine.
About the time George retired my quilt group need a new place to meet. I offered our house for the meeting and it has been so much fun. When the girls come over they give George so much grief and of course he gives it right back. When ever anything is said about how hard George works his reply is "I'm just the rented mule around here."
So when we needed a name for our business it seemed like the only name to use.
